Our Legacy
Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, has a rich chess history marked by significant tournaments and notable events. In 2010, it hosted the World Chess Championship match between Viswanathan Anand and Veselin Topalov, where Anand retained his title by winning the final game.
Sofia continues to foster a vibrant chess community, regularly organizing tournaments and events that contribute to its enduring legacy in the chess world.
